Abundance – How to Tap Into It

“Abundance isn’t something we acquire – it is something we tune in to.” – Jim Rohn

What do you do when you feel like you are about to keel over, dried out from exhaustion, seeing dust instead of fruit?

Shift or die!

Let’s go with “shift.” Shift our mindset, shift our vision, shift our actions, get better results. The great news is that you can make the mental shift in a moment, take action right away and find yourself in a place of happiness. After all, happiness is the result of  progressive action towards a worthy ideal.

Jim Rohn used to say that abundance is simply something we tune in to. It is not something we have to strive to acquire.

So how do we do that? We become like the tree in this psalm:

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.” *

Yes! How lovely to become the tree whose leaves do not wither, and who bears fruit in season and can say that “WHATEVER he does prospers.”  That is a life that is tuned in to abundance.

That means you are not dried out – you are tapped in. You are tapped in to thousands of gallons per minute of fresh, life-giving water. In building a business, it means you are tapped in to refreshment that you take to the marketplace -bringing solutions to those who need you.  In fact, it means that you SEE the abundance of those very people indeed, who need you. You see the abundance that is available to them.

You tap in to that refreshing water by making some choices.

1. Choose who you listen to.

Don’t spend time with  scoffers and doubters and people who don’t share your values. Spend time with people who have a spirit of faith and excellence. This goes for the music and programs and every other element that goes in your ears and before your eyes.  Ultimately we become what we behold, so behold wisely!

2. Choose what you delight in.

When you delight in things that are excellent and true – you find excellence and truth all around.  Become aware of the supernatural power of God rushing towards you with all you need and pouring through you to others. That is irresistible!

3. Choose what you are meditating upon.

The verse right before the one above  says,

“…and on his law he meditates day and night.”

This kind of meditation is not the kind where you empty your mind. The closest synonym would be “masticate” or to chew.

Chew: def – to 2. To ruminate mentally; to meditate on -Webster 1913

What is this law? To love God with all your heart and to love people as yourself.  Within that is all kinds of promises to cling to and mutter all day long. This kind of meditation will quickly change your state and transform your “reality.”  It will expand you in love and that love will drive out all fear. In the absence of fear – faith can flourish. Many people fail to realize that faith works by love!

So, if your fruit seems withered, check your roots. You may need to re-hydrate in a hurry, by adjusting what goes in your eyes, ears and heart, as well as minding what comes out of your mouth!

There is no scarcity out there. There is more than enough to meet all your needs immediately.

The point than is to take ACTION. Be a doer, otherwise you end up delusional, thinking you “already know all that.”  If you are truly stuck on taking the right actions, than look back at step 1. Get around the right people.

Find someone who will:

  • be totally dedicated to YOUR success,
  • hold you accountable to YOUR dreams,
  • help you clarify the strategy that will make success INEVITABLE
  • walk by your side as you BREAK THROUGH the walls that you are bound to hit

(If you have no one in your life who can do all that, then hire a coach. It will be the best investment you ever make.)

Right now is the perfect time to take a deep breath and find refreshing. Don’t quit – you’re just about to win!

What is one way that you can sink your roots deep into a life-giving source?  Please comment below.

Until next time, keep playing to win and enjoy your game.

I’ll be right here in your corner,

Gina

Its all about mind over emotion and what a mighty battle that can be. Thanks for making it so clear to see that we truly are in the drivers seat, choosing our abundance with our thoughts, actions, and words every single day. Inspiring =)

Good one, Miss Tailwags. You and I keep barking up the same tree! (all puns intended.)
-Molly, I had been feeling like I was losing the battle for a few days, so as usual I am preaching to pump myself up!

From the time that my kids were very little through to today, and as well with my coaching clients, I teach/remind them about garbage in – garbage out. What we see, hear, and meditate on takes up residence within our heart and soul. If we store up negativity, then we live negativity. On the flip side of that, if we store up positivity, then we live positivity. It reminds me of the Vacation Bible School song “oh be careful little eyes what you see”, which says that we need to monitor what we watch because the Father up above is looking down in love.

You are so right on target about surrounding ourselves with folks who will challenge us to live up to our greatest potential. Who will hold us accountable for our actions. And, who will love us unconditionally even when we fall. It's people like that I want in my corner, and that's why I'm so privileged and grateful to have you as a friend!!

What kind words, Kelli! Sometimes the negativity takes over just by us forgetting to be deliberate about what goes in. Amen to friends who lend unconditional love. Right back at ya!

This is refreshing to me Gina, thanks! Why do I seem overinterested in finding or learning a “secret” when the help I need is truth in front of my eyes? I guess we all need reminders and perspective- thanks for the help.

J, I think it is normal to want assurance. I challenge you to stir yourself up for two weeks on what you already “know for sure!” Let's feed our faith and starve our doubts to pieces. :)

Great post Gina! It is so true that we ultimately become all that allow in. I can speak this from experience.

I have found that since I decided not to allow those things into my thought patterns that were there before that I am more apt to see abundance all around me. It has nothing to do with money but everything to do with how I rest in the truth of the Word. The Word tells me that if I am obedient that I am the head and not the tail. It tells me that Christ came so that we might have an abundant life. The Bible tells me that there is nothing that can separate me from the love of God.

When I rest in these truths as well as the many others in the Word I walk in abundance and only allow those things and people in my life that will help me stay on the abundant road!

Latara, thank you for sharing that. You are so right!

    Gina,

Great post – so much that I am stealing the concept for my blog! ;-)

Great post, Gina, packed with so much truth!

I sum this up in the addage “You become what you behold.” If you surround and feed yourself with stuff that discourages, disempowers and detracts from a life of abundance, it's easy to see the negative fruit that will result. On the other hand, if you make a concerted effort ot feed on life-giving, soul-lifting stuff and seek to find delight in the “right now” moment, how can you help but yield an abundance of positive fruit?

Just what I needed Gina. A family member is dumping their fear and anger on me daily… and I have lots of Easter services to prepare!! Thanks for the reminder of where my 'hydration' comes from.

  • http://www.ginaparris.com GinaParris

Paul and Scott – thanks so much for sharing. Steal away, Paul!
Scott – I am certainly inspired to be very deliberate in what I behold!

  • http://www.ginaparris.com GinaParris

You bet, Kath. Family members that are in fear and anger are literally vibrating a frequency that is in discord with faith, love and abundance. That's why it feels so uncomfortable. I understand that music can change the atmosphere.Whatever it takes, I'm standing with you!

Gina, Thank YOU for your encouragement! The past 7 weeks have been very difficult due to a broken ankle, cellulitis, infection, surgery, 15 days in the hospital and having difficulty walking again… I give all the Glory to GOD – I did not lose my foot, leg or my life!

Gina – Great post. I have two thoughts, I have copies of the “Royalty Within” audio in the car, house and office and listen to it often. (I recommend that to others too.) 2) The audio is truth – Truth will set you free! Sometimes we don't have to confess the truth to be set free, we just have to study and be overtaken by the truth to be set free. I'm so hard headed that it takes me longer than most to get it, but it's worth the time and effort. The results are supernatural.

This post is perfectly timed for me to read. The late Jim Rohn is right, and as I've been thinking today about relationships and reactivity, it is truly about tuning into a place that shifts not only the relationships we have, but the relationships we are attracting. My inner work of attracting abundance has brought me enticing and powerful new relationships in the past month. Mediation is beginning to feel more reliable everyday.
