Reach Your Full Potential – Joyfully!

Going Fearless -Where to start

What if you could overcome your fear and move powerfully towards your hearts desire? What would you be, do and have then? You would quite possibly have no limits!

Most people in the world today are riddled with some kind of fear. They are trapped by a fear of loss, fear of rejection,  fear of failure, fear of disappointing others, fear of pain, fear of death and on an on.

At the same time, most of these people are unhappily living beneath their potential. Their fears keep them from stepping out and moving forward. In  fact, most people would stay in a situation they absolutely dread rather than face their fear of the unknown by seeking change.

Not you!

If you have ever been held back by fear than it is time to simply GO!  This is not the time to go crazy, to go in circles, to go broke, or to go into debt. NOW is the time to GO FEARLESS!

Starting now I am sharing a series called, "Going Fearless."  We'll look at how to overcome fear and anxiety by taking certain action. We will make progress towards something that matters. We'll go there together.  Remember this too: Your success is not so much about arriving at a destination as it about the person you become along the way. If you become a champion on the inside – it won't be long until your life outside reflects that in every way.

1. Step Number One: Know Where You're Going

Years ago when Paul and I were living in Germany, I loved any excuse to drive on the autobahn. Our little Mercedes was made for speed – and I enjoyed driving faster than a hundred miles per hour. The problem is that this was long before GPS devices were invented to handily tell me where to turn. I remember one time thinking I was driving to Bavaria and feeling very lost. I looked at my husband, who had just woken up and yelled, "Well, I don't know where we're going,  but we're making good time!"

As I recall, he did not find that funny.

Sometimes in our busy lives it is easy to feel like we're "making good time," because we are so crazy busy. However, being busy is not the same as being productive. My friend, Paul Tran says, "Don't tell me how busy your are, show me your results!"

Since time is going to fly by anyway – it is important to know where you want to be after a period of time. You may not be able to control when something comes to pass,  but you can take consistent action towards making it happen. That's when you face the fear that says it can't be done, and you find out that indeed, it can!

What if you just don't know what you want? Sometimes our "vision" gets blurry. I believe that is because we have not been around people whose success inspires us. Most of the time, our vision is triggered by what we see. The LIttle Leaguer decides to play professional baseball after watching a pro ball game – even if just on TV. Something about watching the Big Game inspired vision plus emotion.  Not everyone who dreams makes it, but I guarantee that each one who makes it – dreamed of it first.

VISION PLUS EMOTION is Empowers you to move

If all you are ever exposed to is more of what you already have, it will be hard to get very clear on something greater. When you let yourself dream of something greater, you can get honest about the fears that are trying to stand in your way.

So, your step one to Going Fearless is to get fixed in your mind a clear image that feels emotionally great about what you want and where you are going. If you can put those pictures into a slide show that you look at often, all the better. Get it so fixed in your mind that your whole heart overflows with gratitude that its coming to you.

Next week we'll look at Step 2 to Going Fearless – Becoming Who You Are.

Until then you keep playing hard and enjoy your game! I'll be right here…

In your corner,

Gina Parris
