Peak Performance From The Inside Out
Have you ever been enjoying a nice, hot shower when you were suddenly struck with a great idea? Rumor has it that many “Eureka Moments” have come about under soothing hot water. You should try it next time you are mentally stuck!
Anyway, this morning as I was washing my hair, I noticed the label of my hair conditioner. It claimed in big red letters, “Repairs and Strengthens from the Inside Out.”
I mused on that phrase for the next 20 minutes. Try saying it out loud,
“Repairs and Strengthens from the Inside Out.”
Think of it for a moment. If you want to blast through your current limits, whether they are financial, personal or athletic, you need to be repaired and strengthened from the inside out. This is the true secret to all peak performance.
When an athlete is working hard in the gym to build his muscles, he only tears them down in the weight room. They grow while he is sleeping - with much success determined by his diet. His muscles are repaired and strengthened from the inside out. In fact, how much success he really sees is also determined by his mindset – by the vision he holds of himself inside.
When one’s finances are suffering, the solution comes in the form of new ideas, new ways of thinking. If you want to see your finances repaired and strengthened, start working from the inside out. Thoughts lead to emotions which lead to actions which lead to results. This is why you want to keep that switch of faith turned on.
This is also true in any accomplishment that you can perceive with your senses. It happened first in the invisible realm, through thoughts, imagination, and belief. These led to words and actions.
What is it you need to strengthen and repair today?
It has been noted that if you will think, feel and act like successful people do, you will get their same successful results. So what are some action steps?
1. Evaluate what is and what is not working
2. Repair what is broken and strengthen what is working
3. Keep taking action and repeat step one
Most importantly continue to grow in clarity about your desired results. Then feed your faith and starve your doubts about getting there, as you take action from a place of CERTAINTY. As you do, your path will grow brighter and brighter and your success will become evident.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. -Ephesians 3:16-17
